“Cornea molecular nutrition” is an additional source of the S.M.E.M.® C amino acid complex to maintain the morphologically normal state of the cornea of the eye. “Cornea molecular nutrition” helps to stabilize metabolic processes in epithelial and endothelial cells, ensuring preservation of homeostasis in the cornea of the eye.

The effectiveness of nutraceutical eye drops is based on its ability to modulate the adhesive interactions of epithelial and endothelial cells in the cornea, as well as to suppress lipid peroxidation processes - which can be considered as a universal mechanism of damage to membrane structures of cells under various pathological conditions, exposure to extreme factors and aging.

  • S.M.E.M.® C is a combination of plant-derived amino acids belonging to the group of homeostatic signaling molecules, primarily involved in maintaining a certain status of intercellular adhesive interactions that play an important role in regulation of basic biological processes such as: cell proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis, functioning of the main enzyme systems in tissues, etc. S.M.E.M.® C can stimulate reparative and regenerative processes by additional activation of the cell sources of regeneration (CSR).

    A ready cell system providing the realization of reparative and regenerative processes in all organs (Cell Sources of Regeneration) exists in all organisms. The active S.M.E.M.® are involved in the mechanisms of tissue regeneration by modulating the cell sources of regeneration. It can be expected that creation of conditions for constant delivery of S.M.E.M.® to CSR will lead to reparation of the histostructure corresponding to the morphology of normally functioning tissue.

  • Trehalose is a natural disaccharide found in plants with moisture retention properties that help organisms survive in absence of water. In ophthalmic products, trehalose enhances active ingredients to help:

    • Protect corneal cells from desiccation

    • Help increase tear film thickness

    • Restore osmotic balance to the ocular surface

    • Maintain the homeostasis of corneal cells

    • Help protect corneal epithelial cells from apoptosis after desiccation

    • 2,5% Trehalose

    • 0,001 mcg/ml Amino acid complex S.M.E.M.® C (Glu/Gln + Glycine + L-Serine + Asp/Asn + L-Proline + L-Threonine + L-Leucine + L-Alanine + L-Valine + L-Tyrosine + L-Histidine + L-Arginine + L-Lysine + L-Isoleucine + L-Phenylalanine + L-Methionine + L-Cysteine) in sterile isotonic, low-phosphate buffer solution.

  • To maintain the normal functioning of the cornea of the eye, it is sufficient to apply 1-2 drops once a day. With pathology 1-2 drops 2-3 times a day.

    It is recommended to wait 30 minutes between applications of different types of eye drops.
